We have installed sophisticated CAD workstations employing ArchiCAD and AutoCAD software.
Where total compatibility is required when sharing drawing files with other consultants, schemes are designed in AutoCAD which is very much the industry standard with structural engineers, land surveyors and services engineers, as well as the majority of other architects.
To supplement the above, where fully rendered perspectives are required to help visualise a scheme in three dimensions, we use ArchiCAD which constructs a full building model that can be walked through, flown over or indeed viewed from any angle.
With the aid of laptop computers this now enables us to present virtual reality tours of a building design in clients' homes, offices or when presenting schemes to Planning Departments. In addition, different materials can be applied to any part of the building with the impact of those changes viewed instantly.
